Paper: The Ideal Family


We will end how we began: a reflective paper.
Your topic is family and your sources are the three videos we'll watch in class (Avalon, A Raisin in the Sun and The Glass Menagerie) and that treasure chest of Story: you.


Here's the details:
• 4-6 page paper (using class formatting)
• Inclusion of the following:
• The Ideal Family
• How daughters/mothers or sons/fathers function in that family
• Allusion to each film as example, supporting information, etc.
• It's got to say something real.
We'll follow the reading/posting cycle of the last 2 papers with final draft due in class.
Assessment is part good writing (spirit of the 6/4 rubric) with heavy emphasis on originality (especially voice)
Dates: Posting completed paper to www.quicktopic.com and URL to "comments" properly by class time Tuesday, May 18. It is expected that everyone take a moment to read and respond to each paper.
Final printed papers due at class time Thursday, May 20.
